Bro I know I'm necroposting, but if you want to try more fun Krieg builds (and play on PC) without heavily modding the game the UCP+BL2fix is the way. UCP balances his scaling (including Light the Fuse) and is modular, so you can just disable the ones that you feel too OP, and BL2fix just makes general BL2 experience smoother. Slag is 3x damage in uvhm while crits are only 2x. Krieg also has a skill that lowers crit damage making slag even better. Just throwing out a slag crossfire or other slag bouncing bonny grenade and painting the enemies purple with a slagga before going into rtb is generally pretty effective.
